It was our first time coming here. Nice portions and good mix of food options. The food was good and I'll be back to try lunch

I came here for the first time to give it a try before making a long trip back home, and not only was it clean, but the cooking smells were a precursor of what was to come. The catfish was beautifully fried and well flavored and the portions generous. It's like going over to grandma's house to see what's good. Our waitress was attentive and kind and I have no complaints except that I should've ordered more catfish because it was so good. Will definitely have to stop by again when I'm in the area again
Looking for good soul food in Miami. Google recommended several restaurants but this location was easy to get to via MDT! Small restaurant with about 15 tables & booths & counter seating. I was quickly seated & checked out the menu. They are open tues-sun 6a-2p, so they focus on breakfast. There are also platters for lunch. I was there for the breakfast & ordered a lot! Eggs over with sausage & hash browns & biscuits. I also ordered a side of corned beef hash & salmon burgers, juice & a pot of coffee. The food came in about 10 minutes, hot & tasty. Very nice portions that allowed me to take home a portion. Very attentive service from Tee & the other waitress. Clean restaurant with parking & fair prices! I will return on the weekend to try their turkey wings!
Why is my steak in a pan you ask? Well I ordered a New York strip steak breakfast for takeout I ordered it medium well I had a feeling it wasnβt gonna be right so I checked it and it wasnβt as expected. They cooked me another one I looked at it it was pretty Iβll give them that I cut a small piece attempted to chew it and couldnβt because it was raw they literally just browned the outside of the steak and then inside I heard the cow moo. So I had to cook it myself.
This restaurant is truly a Great gem & so glad we went. All of our food had great taste, with flavor, & looked beautiful. We went on a Sunday around Noon, so the wait was a bit longer but the staff was extremely nice, hospitable, & made our group of 6 feel right at home!!!
I have not been disappointed since I've been coming here. My food is always hot and I have not had any customer service issues.
I haven't explored the entire menu, but I know that is a great place for a homestyle breakfast. The atmosphere feels like you're walking into your grandma or auntie's house with your uncle already drinking his morning coffee in the corner. The service is great; they treat you like family. I really love the breakfast sausage and grits.
The best breakfast ever I have to come back for lunch my gawd! I had the tilapia and grits with cheese on my grits and the bacon egg and cheese sandwich. My good Lordt! My soul is singing. Get the suicide lemonade!!!
